time I brush my teeth. I have
stopped using commercial
toothpaste altogether, some-
times using baking soda
instead, but most often just

TheraSol can be used two ways depending on the pocket depths around the teeth. In shallow pockets (2-4 mm), use TheraSol just like a toothpaste, brushing it onto the tongue, teeth and gums with a toothbrush. A sulcular (along the gum line) brushing technique works best. Ask your hygienist to show you how. In deep pockets that brushes can’t reach, use a subgingival oral irrigator like the Via-Jet or Pocket Care to squirt TheraSol below the gumline. Special cannula tips are available for the Via-jet to get to the bottom of the deepest pockets. Either way, don’t use a foaming toothpaste for 1 hour before or after. They contain detergents than can partially inactivate TheraSol.
