Welcome!

First, I would like to thank those people who sent in positive feedback after the past issue, those who have stopped by the site: OraMedia.home.ml.org, those who signed the guestbook... We've had visitors from US, UK, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Zambia, France and New Zealand.

I've been asked about how to get a saliva test. I'm working on a source where we can get a good working relationship going. Once that is established and the price is right, I'll start offering the service. I am also looking for good sources of oral irrigator tips as well - preferably tips that fit Teledyne's Water Pik, as that may be the most common irrigator in use.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm working on a FAQ list, but I could use some more questions to include. After all of the reading I've been doing, I've almost forgotten some of MY initial questions.

If you do visit the OraMedia Site, please take the time to read the interview with Dr. Nara from THE MOTHER EARTH NEWS entitled "Freedom From Dental Disease!" This interview gives the most in-depth information about Dr. Nara, his fight with the ADA and his alternative view on Oral Health.

Regarding the article on making your own toothpaste, my daughter and I experimented over the weekend. If you decide to try it yourself, you may want to ex- periment with the recipe some also. I found that the amount of glycerin called for was not nearly enough. We also used cinnamon extract and I recommend that if you use this - use it sparingly! The upside of the 'home brew' - best feeling in my mouth that lasted for hours. I spent about $7.00 on the ingredients and I have enough to last for 6 months, easily.
