Diagnosis: Death by Apathy

Are We Doomed?

Who is the victim you must be wondering? Sadly, this is the fate of the health-freedom movement if individuals worldwide who cherish their “freedom,” not just “health freedom,” do not step up and become actively involved with a reputable health-freedom organization to make a difference in the many critical issues that we are fighting that are in motion right now to take individual freedoms away.

Our society in general is currently apathy ridden and for the National Health Federation and the health-freedom movement worldwide, apathy is one of our biggest foes. Apathy rears its ugly head not only from the public but with the majority of the U.S. Congress, member-delegates of Codex, and definitely the controlled media. The dictionary defines “apathy” as indifference or lack of interest or concern.

After six years of health-freedom activism for the National Health Federation (NHF), what puzzles – but mostly saddens – me, is that with all the alternative practitioners, vitamin businesses, health writers and product sellers, etc., who are in the alternative health field and should be knee-deep in the issues that will make or break their livelihood, many have not joined and supported a health-freedom organization that will fight to save their bottomline and their lives. The majority of the public is still uneducated about alternative health options and are oppressed and controlled due to the barrage by pharmaceutical companies and conventional medicines tunnel-vision approach to health on a daily basis. But, those of us in the “know” haven’t an excuse for not joining in the “David and Goliath” battles to save ourselves (literally) and our health freedoms.

The Battlefront

Many of you reading this are currently members and supporting a health-freedom group and truly understand the importance of the various issues, and I personally thank you for being educated, aware, and upholding and defending our freedoms, but many of you are not. There are only a handful of reputable health-freedom groups and millions of individuals. The push to harmonize the World and especially Americans who are the most free and actually the last hope for freedom, is in full-forward mode but we must fight our grievances against the FDA, Congressional ignorance, Codex, pharmaceutical companies, and all the other entities hell-bent on destroying or at least controlling our freedoms, and we need the masses behind our efforts. If health-freedom groups (who depend upon membership and donations) disappear tomorrow due to lack of support, there will be no one fighting for your health rights or freedom.

There is a laundry basket full of issues that the NHF takes on as its missions. Whether it be the FDA, genetically-modified foods, aspartame, fighting for higher-than-RDA supplement levels, anti-fluoridation, anti-vaccination, opposing or supporting specific U.S. legislative bills, Codex and its anti-health freedom agenda, NAU, EU, freedom from persecution of alternative practitioners, to name a few, there isn’t an individual reading this article that isn’t affected by one or more of our missions. This doesn’t include the high percentage of supplement businesses that have already sold out to pharmaceutical companies, nor the powerful trade organization CRN (Council for Responsible Nutrition), which recently announced that its latest member and new best friend was Dow Chemical.

The Good News & Can You Make a Difference?

More people have been personally affected by and therefore understand the downfalls of conventional medicine, hospital stay dangers, and are turning to alternative options. The internet has helped us overcome mainstream media’s refusal to give us a voice. The NHF never lets up on U.S. legislators, Codex, or our other missions.

Each individual can make a difference. Why should others fight your battles? We can be an extremely powerful voice, which was proven in 1994 with the passage of DSHEA. I am biased in favor of the NHF and our efforts, but please research health-freedom groups, and join a reputable one today.

Help us safeguard and advance your health rights and freedom. Don’t sit on the sidelines and complain until it is too late. We need your support to fight restrictive health laws and freedom in general. Help us help you!
